Billing, Cancellation & Refunds

This page explains how ReclipIt’s plans, credits, renewals, cancellation, withdrawal and refunds work. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Nothing on this page limits your rights under consumer law.

Last updated: 30 October 2026

1. Who you buy from

You buy plans and credits from LeksCo, trading as ReclipIt (see our Terms of Service, section 19). Payments are processed by our payment provider, Whop. Whop runs the checkout, charges your payment method and may send you receipts, and it may appear on your bank or card statement. Whop’s own terms apply to the payment itself. This page explains what you get from us and when you can get money back.

2. Plans and prices

Every paid plan includes video uploads (MP4, up to 8 GB per file), YouTube links, Full clips and a monthly credit allowance. Higher plans add Under-60 clips and the YouTube Tools, more credits every month, more videos processed at once and longer source videos. You can pay monthly or quarterly (every 3 months).

Where you see prices and limits. Each plan’s price, credits every month, number of videos processed at once, longest source video and included features are shown on our pricing page and again at checkout, before you pay.

Prices and taxes. Subscription prices, credit purchases and any applicable taxes or mandatory charges are presented during checkout. Taxes are determined by the applicable law, the nature of the transaction and the customer’s location and status. Where the law requires taxes to be included in the displayed consumer price, the displayed price will include those taxes. Nothing on this page removes any tax obligation imposed by law or limits mandatory consumer pricing rights.

Checkout extra. When you buy a plan, you can add a one-time pack of extra credits. The pack and its price are shown at checkout. It’s charged once, with the plan’s first payment.

Top-ups. While you have an active plan, you can buy more credits on the Plan page. The available packs and their prices are shown there before you buy.

3. How credits work

You use credits to generate clips. There are two kinds.

Subscription credits come with your plan.

  • You receive your plan’s credits every month, including on quarterly plans, where you receive them at the start of each of the three months.
  • They don’t roll over: when the next month’s credits arrive, any subscription credits left from the previous month expire.
  • They’re only given for months your subscription is active. Credits for a month that passed while your subscription wasn’t active aren’t added later.

Purchased credits come from checkout extras and top-ups.

  • They’re valid for 12 months from purchase.
  • You keep them if you cancel your plan, but you can only use them while you have an active paid plan.
  • They’re kept separately from your subscription credits, and the Plan page shows when they expire.

When you start a generation, subscription credits are used first, then purchased credits.

Credits aren’t money. They have no cash value and can’t be transferred or exchanged for money, except where the law requires otherwise.

4. What a generation costs

The cost depends on the length of the source video and the clip type: longer source videos and Under-60 clips cost more credits. The app shows the exact number of credits before you start a generation, and nothing is reserved until you start it.

You can only use videos up to your plan’s longest source length (section 2).

What a generation includes. One generation finds the stories in your video and includes one Primary clip for each story it finds. The number of stories depends on the video, and we don’t promise a particular number. Any figures we show about how many clips your credits can make, for example on our pricing page, are estimates, not guarantees.

Extra variations. For each story, you can order extra variations of the clip. Each variation costs the number of credits shown when you order it. The credits are reserved when you order it and charged only if the variation is delivered. If it isn’t delivered, the credits go back to your balance.

When credits are charged.

  1. When you start a generation, its credits are reserved (set aside) from your balance.
  2. When the analysis is ready (the stories have been found), the reserved credits are charged.
  3. If the generation fails before the analysis is ready, for example because the video can’t be processed, the reserved credits go back to your balance automatically.

If several generations fail on the same day after your video was already processed, you may have to wait until the next day before starting another generation. This protects the Service from repeated failures.

If a clip fails to render. After the analysis is ready, a clip can occasionally fail to render.

  • A Primary clip can be retried up to three times at no extra cost, because it’s covered by the generation’s credits. If it still can’t be delivered, contact us at support@reclipit.io.
  • An optional extra variation isn’t charged if it fails, because a variation is only charged when it’s delivered. You can retry it up to three times; each retry is again charged only if the variation is delivered.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under consumer law.

5. Free preview

New accounts can try ReclipIt once for free.

  • One free preview per person: per account and per email address, and only once ever.
  • Full clips only, for a source video of up to 60 minutes. You can use an upload or a YouTube link.
  • We render up to 6 Primary clips, at a reduced resolution of 720 pixels wide.
  • You can watch the free-preview clips in the app. To download them, you need an active paid plan.
  • If your video can’t be processed at all (for example because it’s private or has no usable audio), you get your free preview back.
  • We limit how many free previews can be started from one connection per day.

6. YouTube Tools

Operator and Studio include the YouTube Tools: a transcript tool, a summary tool and a downloader.

  • The transcript tool doesn’t use credits.
  • The summary tool and the downloader include a number of free uses, and the app shows how many you have left. After those, each use costs the number of credits shown before you start it. The credits are charged only when the result is ready; if a use fails, they go back to your balance.
  • Each tool has usage limits, shown in the app.
  • Files from the downloader are available for 24 hours.

7. Renewals and price changes

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel: monthly plans renew every month and quarterly plans renew every 3 months. The payment method you used at checkout is charged at each renewal, and the Plan page shows your next renewal date.

You can cancel at any time before your next renewal. Cancelling prevents the next renewal, and your access continues until the end of the period you’ve already paid for (section 10).

If you’re a Consumer, you can also end your plan at any time after it has renewed automatically, with one month’s notice, by emailing support@reclipit.io. Your plan then ends one month after we receive your notice, and no subscription credits are added after it ends. If you’ve already paid for time after that date, we handle any refund for that time as consumer law requires. If you live outside the Netherlands, the law of the country where you live may give you other rights (see our Terms of Service, section 18.2).

We may change our prices. We’ll tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your next renewal. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before that renewal. A price change never applies to a period you’ve already paid for.

8. Failed payments

  • If a renewal payment fails, generating is paused until the payment succeeds.
  • Generating is also paused if we haven’t received your renewal payment 3 days after your billing period ended.
  • Your projects and clips stay available during this time, subject to the normal deletion periods in our Privacy Policy.
  • To restore access, update your payment method through Plan → Manage subscription. When the payment succeeds, generating resumes and your new period’s credits are added.

9. Changing your plan

You can’t change your plan in the app yet. If you want a different plan, contact us at support@reclipit.io and we’ll help. You can’t buy a second plan while you have an active one.

Before we change your plan, we tell you by email when the change would take effect, what happens to your credits and whether there’s a price difference. We only make the change once you agree.

10. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time. Go to Plan → Manage subscription in the app. This opens your subscription page at Whop, where you can cancel renewal. If you can’t cancel there, email us at support@reclipit.io and we’ll cancel for you.

When you cancel:

  • your plan won’t renew, and no further payments are taken;
  • you keep access and your plan’s credits until the end of the period you’ve paid for (on a quarterly plan, you also receive the remaining months’ credits of that quarter);
  • after that, you can no longer generate clips, and your remaining subscription credits end;
  • your purchased credits stay valid until their expiry date, but you can only use them if you start a paid plan again;
  • your account stays open. Cancelling doesn’t close your account or delete your data. To close your account, see our Terms of Service, section 13, and our Privacy Policy, section 10.

Cancelling isn’t a refund. It stops future payments but doesn’t refund the period you’ve already paid for. Section 12 explains when you get money back.

11. Right of withdrawal (Consumers in the EU and EEA)

If you’re a Consumer living in the EU or EEA, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase (a plan, a checkout extra or a top-up) within 14 days, without giving a reason. The 14 days start on the day you make the purchase. Withdrawing is different from cancelling: it ends the purchase you made within the last 14 days, not just future renewals.

How to withdraw. Send us a clear statement that you’re withdrawing, by email to support@reclipit.io from your account email address. You can use the model form below, but you don’t have to. To meet the deadline, it’s enough to send your withdrawal before the 14 days end. You can also use our online withdrawal form, which you’ll also find in the app under Plan → Withdrawal form.

What withdrawing costs.

  • If you asked us to start straight away: if you expressly asked us to start providing the Service during the withdrawal period and then withdraw, you pay a proportionate amount for what we provided up to the moment you told us you were withdrawing, as consumer law provides.
  • Otherwise: withdrawing costs you nothing.

Your refund. We refund the amount due within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the payment method you used, unless you agree otherwise. You don’t pay any fees for the refund. When we refund a purchase, the unused credits from it are removed from your balance.

12. Refunds

You get money back in these situations, each with its own rules:

  • Withdrawal (Consumers in the EU and EEA). As described in section 11.
  • Problems with the Service. If the Service doesn’t conform to our contract and we can’t fix it within a reasonable time, you have the rights the law gives you, which can include a price reduction or ending the contract with a refund.
  • If we close your account or discontinue the Service for a reason other than your breach of our Terms, we’ll refund the prepaid portion of your subscription for the period during which we no longer provide the Service. This doesn’t affect any additional rights you have under applicable law.
  • Changes to the Service or our Terms. If you end the contract because of a change, as described in our Terms of Service (sections 12.4 and 17.2), we refund what you paid for the remaining period.
  • Consumers who end a renewed plan early. If you end a renewed plan with one month’s notice (section 7) and you’ve already paid for time after it ends, we handle any refund for that time as consumer law requires.

Cancelling on its own doesn’t lead to a refund. Apart from the situations above and your rights under the law, we don’t refund payments for billing periods that have started, or for credits you’ve bought, including credits you didn’t use and credits that expired.

How to ask for a refund. Email us at support@reclipit.io from your account email address, with the date of the payment and why you’re asking. We’ll reply within 14 days. Refunds are paid through Whop to your original payment method.

What a refund does to your credits. When a payment is refunded, the unused credits that payment gave you are removed from your balance. On a quarterly plan, this includes the credits for the remaining months of that quarter, and those months’ credits are no longer added.

13. Payment disputes and chargebacks

A payment dispute is different from a refund request: it’s a claim you make through your bank or card issuer. If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us first at support@reclipit.io; we can usually sort it out faster than your bank.

If you start a dispute or chargeback, the unused credits from the disputed payment are removed from your balance. If the dispute is decided in our favour, we add the removed credits back.

14. Questions about billing

  • Receipts and payment details: check your receipts from Whop, or your subscription page at Whop (Plan → Manage subscription).
  • Billing questions, cancellation help, withdrawal or refund requests: support@reclipit.io.
